Democracy is on the Ballot

The celebration of violence is now deeply embedded in the MAGA movement with leaders like North Carolina lieutenant governor Mark Robinson, the Republican nominee for governor, who recently attacked an assortment of enemies and assured his audience: “Some folks need killing!” As Josh Kovensky of Talking Points Memo wrote on August 27, this violent tendency has become for MAGA Republicans a fantasy about deploying the military against American citizens.
... in general, this blog is not going to be about politics... but... here and there, when i find something important to share i will... this Heather Cox Richardson post makes it clear that the United States is heading into an election where there will be willful chaos... the game plan of Trump and his supporters is not to win the popular vote... the game plan is to claim the election is rigged and use intentionally provoked chaos to attempt to bring down democracy... it is essential that every US citizen who cares about our (admittedly imperfect) democracy vote for the Harris/Walz ticket... massive numbers won't keep the chaos from happening, but a landslide type win will make it harder for the chaos to succeed...
